I remember it like it was yesterday...
It was the spring of 2001 and I had just purchased my first home, tucked away on a quiet street in downtown Ithaca. I was starry-eyed, and gung-ho. Determined to do all of the renovations myself, I pulled up my sleeves and got to work tearing down the drop ceilings. Weeks later, with many secrets of my new home revealed, I was still hanging what seemed like endless drywall. I was a brand new homeowner, and I only wish I had known then what I know now.
Since finally finishing with the drywall, I have honed my expertise in many, varied aspects of the real estate process. Sure, I learned through working on my own home, but also by working as a licensed NY State home inspector, as well as being part of a team of general contractors working to turn other people's homes into dreams come true. I love sharing my knowledge with my clients, and helping to equip each and every one of them with the confidence they deserve when looking to buy or sell a property. In addition to my extensive experience in real estate, I spent several years as a representative of an importer of fine Italian wines with a focus on small, organic producers. Granted, this isn't directly related to real estate, but it has certainly helped ensure I always have the perfect bottle of wine to accompany my frequent dinner parties with friends and family where I can indulge my love of home-cooked meals in my well-appointed kitchen. In addition to enjoying the best local bounty the Finger Lakes has to offer (wines! produce! entertainment!), I love hiking and swimming in the many local gorges and waterfalls, and touring the many bucolic rural communities on my road bike. And, not surprisingly, I am still happily, eternally, renovating my property, a lovely Edwardian Era duplex.
Whether you are new to town, or a seasoned local looking to make a change, I can't wait to help make the process of buying, or selling a property smooth, and successful, for you.
